Currently I am pursuing two separate BSc, in Technical Computer Science and Business Information Technology at the University of Twente. I consider myself a life-long learner as I enjoy learning about anything and everything, in particular I love the field of Computer Science. This year I will start a Direct Doctorate at ETH Zurich in Computer Science, which includes a MSc in Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Science.
My long-term goal is to contribute towards society, and research through my passion of learning. One day, my goal is to work as a full professor. I have experience as a researcher, and developer. My research interest is in the domain of Machine learning, Large Language Models and Explainability.
It is not knowledge, but the act of learning, not possession but the act of getting there, which grants the greatest enjoyment.
I have done research at ETH Zurich and the University of Twente, in particular in the domains of Machine Learning and Large Language Models. Please check the research section for further details.
I was born on September 25th – 2002 in the Netherlands. I currently live in Enschede, The Netherlands and study at the University of Twente.
I have many hobbies, so this will be split into creative, physical, and other.
Creative: 1. My main passion is for world building and writing, and I have been working on a world that has a (fictional) theory of everything based on philosophy and physics, since I was twelve. (See ‘Deus Materia‘) 2. I love drawing and design, in particular digitally. In most-cases I like to make drawings for my world, but I also make unrelated works. 3. Additionally, I like playing piano, in particular Frédéric Chopin, and Franz Liszt. The latter of which is my favorite pianist of all time. 0. With these three hobbies, I like to combine them to work on game development, which comes second to writing in terms of passions.
Physical: 1. I like travelling (who doesn’t) & archeology, and have been fortunate enough to visit around 65 countries. While travelling I exclusively go for sight-seeing, which includes UNESCO sites. The most striking place I have visited was by far Petra. 2. During my travels I sometimes do scuba diving, which I most often do with my father. 3. Finally, I like to partake in race biking and hikes.
Other: 1. I like to read, primarily non-fiction books on different (scientific) topics (e.g. Physics or Biology). 2. From time to time, I like to play a video game. This includes strategy games and RPGs. 3. Then I also like cooking, which I do extensively every day.
Deus Materia is a (fictional) theory of everything grounded in philosophy and physics. There is a separate page detailing this work. (See ‘Deus Materia‘)
